The BMW M2 stage1 is now available.<\/p>\n
The car fits the same N55 engine of the 35i models, recently updated with new B58 engine so probably this is the last N55 application on BMW range.<\/p>\n
The stock car, tested\u00a0on dyno, showed even better power and torque than BMW declared: 380hp and 500Nm.<\/p>\n
The stage1 consists in piggy-back installation with specific BIESSE software calibration. We decided to go with the module instead of flashing the stock ECU because to modify it is necessary to dismount the whole intake system to extract the ECU and\u00a0unlock\u00a0it.
\nIn case of BMW software update the process would have\u00a0to be repeated again, so the external module is\u00a0the best solution for stage1 purpose.<\/p>\n
The performance increase takes the car in a different league of sport cars, with more than 420hp and 585Nm the M2 is ready to compete with M3\/M4. The traction remains perfectly balanced and the rear tires can handle the power improvement without making the car too much difficult to drive.<\/p>\n
The stage2 is coming soon and is projected for cars with full exhaust system and sport intake.<\/p>\n
